Public Safety

Public Safety

Public safety continues to be a concern in many communities across Canada. We have helped clients to understand the root of public safety issues ranging from youth gang violence and high rates of firearm use to property crime and traffic safety. We have examined the underlying reasons why individuals become involved in criminal activity including personal risk factors, family and peer connections, and unique factors relevant to a specific region or context. We understand that preventing and reducing crime requires a multi-faceted and coordinated approach, involving multiple sectors such as municipal, provincial, and federal governments, schools, law enforcement, service providers, and other local community leaders. We have helped clients to understand how stakeholders can work together towards a common goal to make communities safer and ensure at-risk youth have a chance at a better life.
