Business and Economic Development

Business and Economic Development

Business and economic development are central components of a healthy economy and maintaining and creating jobs. We have helped clients to identify the key challenges faced by the business sector, from addressing small business challenges in managing costs and meeting labour needs, to helping businesses to innovate, attract investment, and export. We also have helped clients to understand the unique regional economic circumstances faced by businesses across Canada.

Our services in the business and economic development sector have included in-person engagement sessions with business owners, evaluations of regional economic development, innovation and commercialization, and other business support programming, and business plans and marketing strategies for individual businesses.

Examples of recent business and economic development projects include: conducting in-person engagement sessions, analysis and writing support for the B.C. Ministry of Jobs, Trade and Technology’s Small Business Task Force; an evaluation of Western Economic Diversification Canada’s Business Productivity and Growth; and the evaluation of ACOA’s Innovation and Commercialization Sub-program.
